Adults Gi BJJ
This class is for adults at all skill levels. In these classes you will learn and practice BJJ techniques for the Gi (kimono).
These classes are 90 minutes long, so you can learn and practice new skills without having to rush.
What should I expect in a class?
This class is for all-levels students who want to train BJJ in the Gi (kimono). If you’re new to BJJ, we recommend this class once you have completed the Introduction to BJJ classes.
Classes generally include:
Stretching and/or yoga techniques, designed to help your body be ready for jiu jitsu.
Warm up games that use BJJ techniques.
Techniques are introduced using ‘constraints-based learning’, so you can get practical experience without having to memorise a lot of steps.
Positional sparring using what has been introduced in class.
Sparring/rolling time to make sure you can practice what you have learned, as well as anything else you want to practice.
What should I wear and bring with me?
Wear shoes to and from the studio, even if it’s hot. You will train in bare feet, so it’s best to keep them clean for everyone’s comfort. We suggest you bring slides or thongs for wearing in the bathroom.
Wear a Gi to classes. Gis are available from the studio, but you can also source your own online. We also recommend you bring a mouthguard for sparring.
We also suggest you bring a water bottle; we also have water and cups in the studio.
